Suspected burglars arrested after attempted theft in St Venera

Two suspected burglars were arrested on Saturday after they were spotted running out of a private residence they had allegedly robbed.

The arrests were made in Santa Venera after residents on Triq il-Ferrovija called police after hearing unusual sounds on their roof.

Upon arriving at the area at around 7:15pm, the police from the Rapid Intervention Unit spotted two men running out of a private residence.

The two men, aged 36 and 57, were subsequently apprehended by police and arrested.

Police investigations are ongoing.
