Parliamentary Secretary suffers broken leg after being hit by car in Bormla

Junior minister Chris Agius has suffered a broken leg after being hit by a car driven by a woman in Bormla at around 8:30 this morning.

The accident happened outside Agius’ residence on Triq Santa Tereza in Bormla while the Parliamentary Secretary for Sport was walking over a zebra crossing.

The driver of the car, a Kia Picanto, was a 43-year-old woman from Birkirkara.

The Police media office confirmed that the man was hospitalised and a statement issued by government confirmed that Agius suffered a broken leg.
