Burglars make off with money from elderly man's home

Two masked burglars made off with money they stole from an elderly man’s home in Qormi early this morning.

Police were called for assistance at about 1:30am, receiving information that a robbery had taken place on Triq il-Blata.

Police investigations indicated that two persons had entered the home of an 86-year-old man.

According to the victim, one of the men, armed with what he believed was a firearm, held him down while his accomplice searched the house.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

Police investigations are ongoing.
