Elderly woman suffers grievous injuries after being hit by car

An elderly woman suffered grievous injuries this morning when she was hit by a car in Santa Venera.

The 76-year-old Santa Venera resident was hit by a Ford Escort driven by a 28-year-old man from Attard. The accident took place at about 8:00am, on Triq il-Brunzar.

An ambulance conveyed the woman to Mater Dei hospital to receive treatment.
