Two Britons charged with drug trafficking

Two British youths, Stelios Alexander Papadopoulos and Joshua Borthwick, both aged 26, where this morning charged in court after being caught in possession of Ecstasy under circumstances denoting it was not for personal use.

Both of the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them, and were remanded in custody since they did not request bail.

The case was heard by Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit while the prosecution was led by Inspector Gabriel Micallef. Lawyers Franco Debono and Amadeus Cachia appeared for Borthwick and Martin Fenech appeared for Papadopoulos.
