Man hospitalised after truck overturns on t'Alla u Ommu hill

A man has been hospitalised after the truck he was driving overturned on the T'Alla u Ommu hill this morning.

Members of the Civil Protection Department extracted the 51-year-old truck driver from the cabin, after he had become trapped following the 7.20am accident.

An ambulance team and emergency physician response unit were on site.

The St Venera man was then conveyed to Mater Dei hospital for treatment.

His medical condition is not yet known. 

The road has been temporarily closed to traffic.
