Updated | Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries in Valley Road accident
Witnesses said that the motorcyclist was not seriously injured in the incident
The traffic accident took place at Valley Road, Msida
An ambulance was called on site to assist a motorcyclist involved in a traffic accident in Valley Road, Msida.
The accident happened this morning at around 9.30am in a collision with an SUV.
The motorcyclist, witnesses said, was not seriously injured.
A spokesperson for the police force confirmed that the motorcyclist, a 26-year-old woman from Italy, suffered minor injuries. The SUV, a Kia Sportage, was being driven by a 60-year-old man.
Meanwhile, the police also confirmed that no injuries were reported in a collision between a trailer and a car in Qormi, earlier this morning.
The incident however caused heavy traffic congestion in the area and surrounding localities after the police were forced to close the street, diverting traffic.
