Police suspect Qormi man could have been murdered

Investigators looking into the discovery of a body in a Qormi warehouse do not exclude possibility that the man could have been murdered

Investigators are looking into the possibility that a man from Qormi may have been murdered.

On Wednesday, the police were alerted to a man lying in a shaft in an empty building in Triq il-Mastrudaxxa.

The man has been identified as Paul Magro and, a tattoo on his right arm helped the police identify the him.

Sources said that the dynamics surrounding his discovery, and objects found on his body, suggest that these had been placed on the man, in an attempt to partially conceal the body. The objects included a bucket and wooden planks.

The body was found in a shaft inside an empty building in Qormi. It took rescuers over three hours to pull the body up.

The building is known to the police for its use by drug addicts. The victim is known to have battled drug addiction in the past.
