Man injured after falling down spiral staircase

A 52-year-old man suffered grievous injuries after he fell down a spiral staircase in Kalkara this afternoon. 

The incident happened at 5.30pm on Triq ir-Rinella, when the Kalkara resident slipped as he descended the staircase.

The victim was conveyed Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for treatment. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
