A German woman has been fined €4,000 and handed a six-month jail term, suspended for two years, after admitting to injuring a police woman as she resisted arrest on Saturday night in Paceville.

The police officer was injured as the woman was being arrested, who allegedly retaliated and attacked the officer when she was approached for allegedly smoking inside a bar.

The woman, who was arraigned on Sunday, pleaded guilty to the charges.
