Man grievously injured in motorbike crash

A 52-year-old man from Qala has suffered grievous injuries after losing control of his motorcycle last night.

In a statement, the police said that they had been alerted about an incident which had taken place on Triq il-Qala, in Qala, Gozo.

According to the police, it had been determined from preliminary investigations, that the man had lost control of his Honda XR400 and fallen off at roughly 12.30am.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the accident and the man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital for treatment.

He was determined to have sustained grievous injuries. Police investigations are still underway.
