70-year-old man is victim of armed robbery in Marsa

A man quietly feeding a horse in a Marsa garage came face-to-face with a gun, as a masked robber demanded he hands over his gold chain.
The victim, 70, was not injured in the incident but was held at gunpoint as the robber went for the man’s gold chain which, according to media reports, costs some €3,000.
The incident happened in Triq Belt il-Hazna at around 2:10pm.
A spokesperson for the police confirmed that the robber was wearing a helmet and sunglasses. He took off on a bike and the police are now searching for the robber.
A magisterial inquiry has been launched.
