Motorcyclist greviously injured in collision in Mellieha

A 36-year-old Italian man, residing in Rabat, is undergoing treatment at Mater Dei hospital following a road collision yesterday.

Police were informed at 8:15pm yesterday, when the motorcyclist, on a Piaggio Runner, collided with a 65-year-old man driving a Kia Sportage in L-Ahrax, in the limits of Mellieha.

Police were later informed that the motorcyclist was suffering from grievous injuries.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed, while police investigations are on-going.
