Birkirkara man injured in traffic accident

A 25-year-old man from Birkirkara was seriously injured when he was hit by a car driving through Swieqi, yesterday.

The incident happened at roughly 9.10pm, according to the police, when a Skoda Felicia being driven by a 40-year-old man from Qormi hit the 25-year-old pedestrian in Villa Rosa Street.

An ambulance was dispatched, which took the injured man to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. He was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
