Cyclist grievously injured in Rabat road accident

A 47-year-old Attard resident has been certified to be suffering from grievous injuries following a traffic collision earlier today.

According the police communications unit, the accident happened at 10.15am in Triq il-Belt Valletta in Rabat.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers deduced that a crash had taken place between the cyclist and a Toyota Corolla being driven by a 70-year-old Mellieha resident.

An ambulance was on site, which took the cyclist to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

Police investigations are still underway.
