Man in grievous condition following Birzebbugia argument

A 33-year-old man was grievously injured this morning after an argument broke out in Birzebbuga this morning.

According to the police, the 33-year-old Nigerian man residing in Birzebbuga, was involved in an altercation with a 28-year-old Sliema resident.

Following preliminary investigations, the police said it had been determined that the incident had taken place at roughly 7:40am, with one of the two men involved using a pointed weapon.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the incident and the 33-year-old man was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still underway.
