Cable fault leads to loss of supply in Valletta and Marsa
Valletta and parts of Marsa suffer power cuts after road construction workers hit power cable
27 March 2012, 12:00am
Valletta and parts of Marsa suffered power cuts earlier this afternoon after workers carrying out road works in Marsa hit a cable.
Enemalta said electricity in Valletta was restored some 30 minutes after the incident, as Enemalta employees worked on two substations to restore the electricity in Marsa.
This is not the first time this year that ongoing road works across both Malta and Gozo have led to power cuts in various localities. At least three other incidents have been reported so far this year.
