Two women injured in traffic accident, one in critical condition
A 24-year-old woman from Mosta is in critical condition, while the passenger has suffered grievous injuries but is not in danger of dying after the car they were travelling in turned over.
Two women were rushed to Mater Dei Hospital last night after the car they were travelling in turned over.
The incident happened at around 1am in Vjal Santa Lucija, Rahal Gdid.
According to preliminary police investigation, the driver, a 24-year-old woman residing in Mosta, lost control of her car and turned over. Together with the driver there was a 25-year-old woman from Rahal Gdid.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and an ambulance were called on site. The women were transferred immediately to Mater Dei Hospital where the driver was certified to be in critical condition while the passenger sustained grievous injuries but is not in danger of dying.
Police investigation is ongoing.
