Veteran actor Lino Grech dies

Lino Grech, one of Malta's foremost theatre actors and directors has passed away last night.

Grech, born in Sliema in 1930 was one of the most prolific playwrights and directors in Maltese theatre and was at the forefront of a golden generation of actors including Charles Thake and Gemma Portelli.

Best remembered for the popular radio and television drama f'Bahar Wiehed, Grech also produced and acted in a long-list of theatre and television productions.
