Police once again was called to arrest a Sudanese national, just four days after he was arrested by police breaking in the same Marsa house.

Fauzy Khalifa, a 42-year-old Egyptian national, had to call in police for the third time to arrest the man who broke into his Marsa house last Friday, after catching him red-handed yet again.

At 10:30am on Tuesday morning, Khalifa entered his St Paul Street residence in Marsa, which he uses as a place of business, with a carpenter to fix the front door that had been damaged by the intruder’s first break-in last month – in which €7,000 worth of tools were stolen.

Khalifa found the same man in the house once again, after noticing that the front door had been unlocked. There he found the man in his basement, ostensibly having spent the night in the house.

The Sudanese national is believed not to be living at the Marsa open centre, according to the open centre’s director Ahmed Bugre.

Khalifa called the police, who rearrested the Sudanese man, 46.
