PN introduces 10 policy fora

Nationalist Party sets to change its politics in 10 different sectors

The Nationalist Party is set for a revamp of its politics in 10 different sectors including the economy, education, health and European affairs.

PN leader Simon Busuttil said the change was necessary: “It is time for our party to start changing its politics in a number of different sectors and show that it can remain a fabric of new ideas for the country.”

The Executive Committee approved the introduction of 10 policy forums in which the PN will discuss and propose new policies for the party. These policy forums are; the long-term vision for Malta, the economy and work, social politics, education, health, the environment and agriculture, culture and creativity, justice and internal affairs, European and foreign affairs, and Gozo.

The changes have been rendered possible through amendments to the party’s statute that were approved earlier this year.

“These fora are going to open the PN’s doors to people from different sectors, and not only party members, to give their ideas on how the party should adapt its policies,” Busuttil said. “We are ready to welcome ideas and make them part of their political positions.”

Busuttil encouraged everyone who wants to form a part of these groups to contact Ann Fenech, the President of the PN’s Executive Committee on [email protected].
