US ambassador to Libya Deborah Jones said in a press conference yesterday that the US only recognized the authority of the democratically elected House of Representatives in Libya. A UN Security Council meeting in the coming days will discuss a resolution to the crisis, through a ceasefire and, if necessary, sanctions.
