President invites Malala Yousafzai to Malta

The President invited Malala to Malta to create an international educational project in partnership with the Office of the President

On a recent visit to Brimingham, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca met with Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani activist who survived being shot in the head by the Taliban for her part in campaigning for girls' education. Malala is currently pursuing her studies in Birmingham.

The President invited Malala to Malta to create an international educational project in partnership with the Office of the President and to inspire Maltese children to study and further their education.

Over the coming months, discussions between Malala and the Office of the President will begin in order to for the activist to be able to visit Malta and spread her message of hope and courage.
