Retiring nurses can still provide services

Retiring nurses can still provide services thanks to new agreement reached between government and MUMN

An agreement reached between the government and the MUMN will allow nurses who reach the age of retirement to continue working.

Following the agreement, results of the Practice Nurse will be published in the coming days while the government will be ensuring that a more efficient process in the enrollment of nurses is rolled out.

The agreement also requires that internal calls will be issued in January 2015 so by the following months new nurses and midwives will be employed.

A call for senior staff nurse will be issued in October while new applications in the future will be issued in March and October.

The agreement was reached between MUMN president Paul Pace and Health Minister Konrad Mizzi.
