This was announced by Malta Public Transport as part of its initiatives inline with the European Mobility Week encouraging motorists to opt for alternative means of transport as they travel around the island. Services at Floriana Park & Ride, as customary, will include a frequent free-of-charge service to Floriana and Valletta. The Floriana Park & Ride facilities are open every day between 0600hrs and 2100hrs, including Sundays and public holidays.

Moreover, the bus company is also collaborting with the University of Malta to encourage the use of alternative means of transport not only among students but indeed also among University employees, thus helping to reduce the amount of pollution and traffic on roads leading to and from the University Campus. The bus company is providing a number of bus tickets to encourage academic and technical personnel at University to opt to use public transport on Car Free Day.
