MUMN want sole recognition on ECG technicians in public sector

The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses asked the government for sole recognition of the electrocardiogram technicians who work in the public sector.

The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN) asked the government for sole recognition of the electrocardiogram technicians who work in the public sector.

“This is after the Work Director approved a change in our statute that opened the union’s doors to a limited number of health professionals who work in the public, private, and parastatal sectors,” the MUMN said.

“The absolute majority of ECG technicians who work in the public sector are members of MUMN,” the union said. “According to the 2012 collective agreement signed between the government and the unions, we have the right to ask for details about the ECG technicians who work in the public sector.”
