UHM calls for better conditions, pay for Educational Services workers

In a press statement, the UHM expressed concerns at the high turnover rate of employees within the FES, which puts in jeopardy the sensitive and important work they do.

The Malta Workers Union (UHM) has called for an improvement in the working conditions of those employed within the Foundation for Educational Services.

In a press statement, the UHM expressed concerns at the high turnover rate of employees within the FES, which puts in jeopardy the sensitive and important work they do. The children in their care, their parents and the employees themselves are affected by this state of affairs.

The Education division of the UHM has and will continue to have meetings with the management to ensure that these concerns are addressed and results in a corresponding rise in pay.

"The increase in workers' responsibilities should be reflected in a higher pay and better working conditions," the statement reads.

The UHM also thanked FES employees for their good work and dedication.
