Government agrees to convert Gozo residence into home for disabled people

The residence in Victoria, Gozo, is expected to open its doors by the end of the year and will accomodate around ten disabled people. 

The government have signed a contract to purchase a residence in Victoria, Gozo that they will transform into a residence for around ten disabled people.

In a brief statement, the government said that work on this residence will commence immediately and is expected to be finalized by the end of October so as to welcome its first residents by the end of the year.

“The government is also reviewing all possibilities to provide other services in parts of the building,” Active Ageing parliamentary secretary Justyne Caruana said, adding that works on the first life-long learning hub for disabled people, in Ghajnsielem, will soon commence.
