Maltese police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of attempted rape of a student aboard a Maltese-flagged cruise ship last summer. The young woman's lawyer contacted local media when, six months after passing all evidence to local police, nothing more had been done about the case.

Deputy PN leader Beppe Fenech Adami said yesterday that all the evidence coming to light in the past week has proved PM Joseph Muscat's personal involvement in the Cafe Premier scandal, one he called the biggest to rock the political scene in the past years.

Matthew Dingli, a 34-year-old from Kappara, was evacuated to Malta for medical treatment after being shot in the head in Tripoli. Dingli was receiving treatment in a hospital in Tripoli when his family requested the government's assistance in bringing him home.

Neville Curmi, who was the other half of the management of Cities Entertainment, has spoken out about the Cafe Premier scandal. Curmi said the Auditor General's report was 'close to the truth', but declined to give more than a short comment on the matter.
