Special voting document applications open until 8 April

Voters who have lost, damaged or destroyed their referendum or local council voting documents have until 8 April to apply for a special voting document.

In a statement, the Electoral Commission said that such voters must personally present their I.D or residence card at the offices below during the following days and hours: 

From the Office of the Electoral Commission at Evans Building, Valletta:

Sunday 29th and Tuesday 31st March, and Good Friday, 3rd April from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

30th March - 2nd April from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm

From the Office of the Electoral Commission in Naxxar (Counting Complex):

Sunday 5th April from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm

Saturday 4th, Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th April from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

Wednesday 8th April:

For Local Councils from  8.00 am to 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm;

For the Referendum from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

 

Voters who are registered in the thirteenth electoral division (Gozo and Comino) may call at the Identity Cards Office, Victoria, Gozo, during the same office hours.

 

Nobody shall be allowed to vote without a voting document.
