Maintenance works in Floriana, Hamrun, Birkirkara and Lija

Transport Malta notifies about various maintenance projects over the next days

Transport Malta said that works on The National Flood Relief Project have now reached another phase which means that Triq in-Naxxar between Triq Papa Piju XII and Papa Urbanu VIII will be closed to vehicular traffic from tomorrow 21st April 2015 at 06:00hrs. 

These works are scheduled to be completed by the 29th of April 2015, however,  access will be available to vehicular traffic proceeding from Mosta towards Valletta while traffic coming from Triq il-Wied Birkirkara will be diverted onto Triq il- Fuħħarin and onto Triq Ganu to reach Birkirkara Bypass.

The company said that traffic may also proceed to Triq il-Wied towards Ħal Balzan to reach Ħal Lija roundabout. Public transport will be diverted onto Triq il-Wied and then to Ħal Lija roundabout to proceed with the normal route.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and to follow signage on site.

Major Maintenance Works in Ħamrun Bypass (direction to Sta Venera tunnels) and Slip Road in Triq Diċembru 13

Transport Malta also notifies that Ħamrun Bypass and the slip road from Triq Diċembru 13 to Ħamrun Bypass, will be closed to vehicular traffic today Monday 20th April 2015 between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs.  Motorists may expect  road disruptions as from 19:30hrs due to major resurfacing works expected to continue throughout this week at night.

Vehicular traffic coming from Triq Diċembru 13 will be diverted onto Triq it-Tiġrija, in front of Marsa Park & Ride and will proceed towards the roundabout of Triq Manwel Dimech in Ħal Qormi.  Traffic may also proceed directly from Triq Diċembru 13 to Ħamrun centre.

Car Park off Triq Vincenzo Dimech Floriana will be closed for 24hrs

Transport Malta has also notified that a filming activity taking place in the vicinity of the car park off Triq Vincenzo Dimech Floriana and that as such, the car park will be closed to the public between Tuesday 21st April 2015 at 20:00hrs and Wednesday 22nd April at 20:00hrs.
