Eight charged with illegal gambling in three years

Eight people have been charged in court over cases of illegal gambling since 2013, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela revealed.

Speaking in Parliament in response to a question by shadow economy minister Claudio Grech, Abela said that four of these cases involved illegal gambling machines and that the other four had involved illegal lotto games.

One of the accused has been charged €250, another has been charged €400, while the other six cases are still in court.
