An inquiry into the investigation of Neville Baldacchino's murder, which took place in 2008, revealed that Daniel Zammit, an investigator on the case, acted "unethically". Zammit had ties to both Paceville nightclub owner Hugo Chetcuti and the Gaffarena family.

The PN has called on the Auditor General to investigate the contract the government entered into with the Electrogas consortium, after repeated promises by the government to publish the documentation have yet to be fulfilled.

A number of small tremors shook the island yesterday, with the biggest felt around 7:15pm, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale. Seismologists said that the tremors could continue in the coming days, though their magnitude is difficult to predict.
