South Korean infrastructure minister Il-Ho-Yoo visited Malta for talks with transport minister Joe Mizzi on the strengthening of bilateral relationships between the two countries.

In a statement, Mizzi said that discussions focused on the strengthening of bilateral relationships between the two countries.

The Korean delegation took particular interest in the National Flood Relief project and was taken to visit one of its main components.

Mizzi said that the Coast Road project, which forms part of the European Ten-T network, is at an advanced stage of completion. He also hailed the Addolorate junction project as a major step forward in Malta’s infrastructural investment.

The government quoted Il-Ho-Yoo as having expressed his willingness to strengthen relationships with the Maltese government.

These talks will resume during Minister Joe Mizzi’s upcoming visit to South Korea. On Sunday, PN newspaper Il-Mument had wrongly reported this visit as a trip to North Korea to represent the government on occasion of the rogue state’s 67th anniversary celebrations.
