President launches 10th Paqpqali ghall-Istrina

President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca launched the 10th edition of Paqpqali ghall-Istrina 2015 at San Anton Palace earlier today.

Founder of the event Tonio Darmanin said that this year’s event will have various attractions including the universally admired Ferrari and other vehicles including the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spider and the Koenigsegg, which will be making its first ever appearance in Malta specifically for the event.

“This year the event will be held on the 4th October at the Malta International Airport, near the Hal Farrug area,” Darmanin said.

“The public will have the opportunity to view and drivew these internationally famous cars, aside from other attractions that will be announced later on.”

Coleiro Preca thanked organizers and the public for supporting this annual event.

Speaking at the event, Mary Rose Farrugia, whose son Samuel has been benefitting from the Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF) for the past seven years said that that the MCCF had allowed her son to receive the necessary care.

“it was thanks to the MCCF that I managed to send my son for medical interventions to deal with his blindness while at the same being able to deal with the financial burden this condition has caused,” Farrugia said, whose son Samuel also thanked the fund for its help.

 “The MCCF continues to organize these activities as they are the only way to collect the funds needed to assist those in need of specialized medical interventions abroad,” Coleiro Preca said.
