In another story, the newspaper carries an interview with Opposition leader Simon Busuttil, who says he ‘cannot be bought.’

The Malta Independent on Sunday quotes cardiologist and Nationalist MP Albert Fenech saying politicians screw things up by meddling in the health sector, but concedes that his forced retirement from Mater Dei Hospital has nothing to do with political discrimination.

GWU-owned newspaper It-Torca says two Identity Malta officials under investigation over the racket in the issuance of residence permits have Nationalist affiliations. In another story, the newspaper quotes GWU Secretary General Tony Zarb saying that the strike conducted by bus drivers had bore fruit.

Nationalist news organ il-mument says drugs are being traded at Corradino Correctional Facility. The newspaper also says that the extent of drug trafficking in the prison has reached alarming levels.

Labour newspaper Kullhadd says a large tract of land in an outside development zone in Bidnija has been cut off by a large wall and is connected to a property owned by blogger and Malta Independent columnist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
