The owners of gaming establishments have expressed frustration at the inaction of police after a spate of hold-ups targeting their shops. Owners have had to beef up their own security and take other measures to locate perpetrators themselves.

Students at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary are in shock after 17-year-old classmate died yesterday while on his way to school. Matthew Demicoli was found unresponsive metres from the school gates, and died shortly afterwards.
