Speaker Anglu Farrugia lifted the suspension of Anthony Tabone, Opposition leader Simon Busuttil's official driver, saying that there was not enough evidence to support what he called the 'drastic acton'. Tabone was suspended as police launched an investigation into the fuel consumption of Busuttil's official vehicle.

PM Joseph Muscat has remained silent on the issue of parliamentary secertary Ian Borg, who is being investigated in relation to alleged corruption involved in the development of a plot of land he owns in Rabat.
