Government orders change of time in waste collection

Local councils have been asked by government to change the times of waste collection in order to ease traffic congestions, especially in rush hour.

Following a consultion process involving local councils and authorities, government asked councils to change the collection times thus removing large vehicles from the roads.

Junior minister responsible for local councils Stefan Buontempo thanked the councils for their cooperation and said the measures will lead to less traffic on the roads especially in rush hour.
