In the Press: Lawyers call for suspension of Industrial Tribunal cases amid impartiality concerns

A group of lawyers have called for a suspension of all the cases before the Industrial Tribunal until it can be brought in line with the Constitution, through impartiality and independence safeguards. 

In-Nazzjon

The Nationalist party has written to the Police Commissioner to formally ask him to investigate the Gaffarena expropriation case. The PN said the Auditor General's report contained enough evidence to launch an investigation.

A manager at the National Statistics Office, Carlos Camenzuli, resigned before the end of an investigation into the activities of a group of public officials who allegedly passed sensitive information on to the Nationalist party in the wake of the 2013 elections.
