Archbishop emeritus Guzeppi Mercieca passed away yesterday, aged 87. A funeral cortege was held, with Mercieca's body lying in state until noon tomorrow at St John's Co-Cathedral.

Parliamentary secretary Jose Herrera launched a citizenship and visa program in China. The scheme targets investors willing to inject at least €500,000 into the Maltese economy through purchasing property, government bonds or by giving a financial contribution through Identity Malta.

The Malta Chamber of Psychologists has said that a proposal to outlaw conversion therapy could have a negative impact on their profession. While the rights of LGBTI individuals should be protected, it said, if a client wants to explore certain therapeutic techniques, practitioners could be charged with a crime.
