The woman was rushed to hospital where she was declared to be in critical condition
A 35-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a bus at 08:15 this morning. The accident took place in an area known as Putirjal in Valletta.
Preliminary investigations by police officials indicate that the woman was hit by a bus being driven by a 30-year-old Wied il-Għajn resident.
The woman was taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance where it was confirmed that she was in critical condition.
A magisterial inquiry is underway.
In a reaction, the Malta Public Transport said it was providing all the necessary support for the competent authorities to carry out their investigations.
