Electoral Commission announces that it is accepting applications for groups interesting in registering themselves as political parties

Applications have opened for groups and movements interested in becoming a registered political party, the Electoral Commission has announced.

The application requires details on the party’s official name, registered address, postal address, emblem, leader, treasurer, and financial year.

Independent MP Marlene Farrugia and the anti-immigrant ‘Ghaqda Patrijotti Maltin’ have both recently announced their plans to contest the upcoming general election.
