An ASL Airline cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Malta International Airport this morning after the pilot reported possible trouble with the plane’s wheels. 

The Boeing 737-400 was forced to make the emergency manoeuvre at about 10:40am due to nose gear problems.

Local media reported that the freighter aircraft travelling from Tunis to Malta declared a full emergency at 10:25am.

"Malta International Airport’s Fire and Rescue team were dispatched immediately and the aircraft, with 2 crew on board, landed safely at 10.44am," an MIA spokesperson is quoted saying.
