The Nationalist Party (PN) has said that Salvu Mallia has been approved as a PN candidate for the next general election on the second and twelfth districts.  Mallia was approved during a meeting of the PN’s executive council.

Mallia said that despite him voting for the Labour Party in the last general election, he will be working to see Simon Busuttil become Prime Minister because the feels that this is the only way for the country to purge itself of the corruption that has occurred during this government’s legislature.

He said that in order for the people to have the government they deserve, they must elect the PN with a clear majority in the coming elections.

On his part, PN leader Simon Busuttil said that Mallia’s candidature confirms that a national coalition against corruption was starting to form adding that the PN will continue working to attract new candidates from all walks of life.
