Justyne Caruana to be Malta’s Ambassador to Women in Parliaments Gobal Forum

Speaker presents Caruana with honour in recognition of the work she has done over the course of her parliamentary career

Parliamentary Secretary for the rights of persons with disability and Active ageing was this evening presented with by a certificate recognising her as Malta’s ambassador in the Women in Parliaments Global Forum.

“This honour is in recognition of the work you have done over the course of your parliamentary career and also an honour for the Maltese Parliament, that now has a member of Parliament that will represent Malta as an ambassador in the Women in Parliaments Global Forum,” said Farrugia

House secretary Ray Scicluna was present for during the presentation of the certificate.

Caruana, a lawyer by profession, was first elected to parliament in 2003 and successively in 2008 and 2013 on the Gozo district. She is the head of the Maltese Parliament’s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, serves on the gender equality task force and is rapporteur of the first committee on political affairs.
