The young man from Zejtun who died after falling from down a cliff in Xghajra has been identified as Reuben Azzopardi, an international Maltese kickboxer and father of a three-year-old girl.

Azzopardi had succumbed to his injuries yesterday as he was being airlifted after falling off the cliffs in area of Xghajra known as Golf tat-Tafal, with his quad bike, and landing on the rocks below. The incident took place at around noon.

Members of the Civil Protection Department, the Armed Forces of Malta’s Airwing and an ambulance were dispatched to assist the man.
