There were 407 resignations from the Police Force since 2013, with their rank ranging from commissioner to constable, according to Home Affairs minister Carmelo Abela.

Abela was replying to a series of parliamentary questions by Nationalist MP Beppe Fenech Adami.

The minister said that of the 407 departures, 38 had left before completing 25 years of service.

During the same period, a total of 349 individuals were recruited over three recruitment drives, adding that 83 officers had also been re-instated.
