A growing crowd, which broke away from the main demonstration in Valletta, in the wake of Daphne Caruana Galizia's murder, is blocking the street in front of the police headquarters in Valletta.

The crowd is sitting mostly in silence, but also broke out in chants of 'justice, justice' and 'omertà, omertà'.

At one point people started throwing money onto the banner with the police chief's face on it, accusing him of being bought and a puppet. Tomatoes were also thrown at the banner

Former Opposition leader Simon Busuttil has joined the crowd.  MPs Jason Azzopardi, Karol Aquilina, Claudio Grech and David Agius are also amongst the demonstrators.
