Missing woman found in Kalkara cave

Natalie Williams, a 46-year-old woman who was reported missing last Friday was found in a cave in Kalkara on Monday evening.

The police said the Williams was discovered close to fort Rinella in the Kalkara area, adding that investigations were still underway.

Williams, who had last been seen in Zejtun on Friday afternoon is reported to have been held in the cave against her will, with some media reports stating that she was found in a deep rock crevice underground, and that she had been chained and in some way unable to escape.

She was taken to hospital for treatment, although her condition is at this time not clear.

Williams’ husband has reportedly been detained pending further police investigations.
